Coach Sandy

Hello, my name is Sandra Halvatzis. The track is my happy place! Nothing compares to being on the track sharing the sport I love with our kids.

I have been doing track since I was 10 years old. I am originally from Peru and came to the US on a track scholarship as a D1 sprinter. I now represent team USA in International competitions and been coaching youth for the last 6 years. Some of my accolades include:

  • World Champion (Relay 4X200 mts) Masters World Championships 2025

  • Silver Medalist (200 mtrs) Masters World Championships 2025

  • USA National Champion 200 mts

  • Peruvian National Record (400 mts)

  • South American Champion (100 mts)

  • South American Champion (200 mts)

Coach Andy

Hi! My name is Andrew Harrold. I was a D1 hurdler at CU and I am a sprint development coach with over 11 years of experience working with athletes of every level from youth runners learning the fundamentals of the sport to NCAA All- Americans and NFL players looking to improve their speed on the field.

I am known for my technical, speed-based approach to training that emphasizes personalized movement patterns and position awareness. Some of my accolades are

  • 7+ years coaching youth sprinters

  • Led Lutheran HS sprinters/hurdlers to 3 consecutive CO State Titles

  • Co-founded AMATA Sports, advancing HS athletes to college

  • Sprint coach at MSU Denver

  • Speed coach to NFL athletes

  • Coach to National and World Champion Master athletes

Hi! My name is Quinton Dodson-Maualaivao. I was a sprinter in HS, earning All American recognition. I was also a D1 sprinter at the University of Colorado and participated in international meets during my track career.

I have more than 15 years of experience coaching youth athletes and most recently, I was the Director of Athletics at Amata Sports, a youth track program sending over 3000 athletes to college.

I coached an Olympic sprinter but what I love the most is helping young athletes fall in love with sprinting. I can't wait to help your kids get faster this summer.

Our Philosophy: Building Confidence

We believe that providing positive reinforcement, a fun environment, clear goals and personalized attention and cues are key to children's continuous improvement.

Young athletes improve best when they feel encouraged, challenged and supported, and this in turn, builds confidence long term.

The Denver Twilight Series

Because competition provides a unique stimulus that often pushes athletes to run faster than they could during practice, we participate in two track meets called the Denver Twilight Series. These are fun track and field meets for athletes of all ages and abilities and are an introduction to track meets.

We'll enjoy a fun atmosphere with music, live results/video, post-race interviews, prizes, and food trucks under the Friday night lights. Enjoy this family-friendly event. Bring a blanket, picnic food/drinks and get ready to sheer for our sprinters!
